Barclays Green Leaders in Business Competition

The Green Achiever Scheme impressed judges recently in a Barclays Bank National Green Business Competition. Green Leaders in Business was open to all UK and Irish companies. The Awards recognized those companies who are using ‘pioneering processes’, ‘new sustainable technology’ and products or services to help beat climate change.

The Green Achiever Scheme showed to have an edge on the other competitors because of its exclusive reward system and its popularity among small businesses. It is a unique web-based service that provides all UK businesses with a platform to improve and promote their environmental credentials.  The judges were most impressed by the fact that the scheme is barely six months old and that it already has over 200 businesses using the service. In addition, the judges were looking for ‘pioneering processes’ and this attention catching service is one of a kind.

Hopefully, with the right nurturing, the service will continue to flourish and assist companies in the UK when complying with Environmental Legislation.
